How to Get Even More Power to Your Existing Insurance Policy

Though you might not be aware of it, standard Homeowners insurance policies – as well as auto, boat and business coverage – are limited. The gap in coverage is why when damages or losses occur, you may be submitting a claim that will not compensate to the full extent you expect. For this reason, many opt for buying an affordable personal policy.

The Ins and Outs of a Personal Umbrella Policy

Because more than eighty percent of umbrella liability claims are in relation to car accidents, any driver could face catastrophic losses without it. Envision the following true-to-life risk examples.

• A sixteen year old boy drove his father’s car. He did not see the stop sign at the corner and crashed head on to another automobile. The other driver incurred severe injury to his back.

• A woman worked overtime for two weeks due to an overload of work. She was so tired when she drove home one evening that she fell asleep at the wheel causing her car to veer off the lane onto the oncoming traffic lane. A car saw the woman’s car coming at him and swerved to avoid a crash. The other driver’s car rammed into the store front window glass of a retail shop. Damages included loss of goods and an injured worker.

• The kitchen contractor a home owner hired was hard at work improving the cooking spot with reformations when the accident occurred: he tripped on a mound of wood scraps and hurt himself badly. Because he did not have enough personal insurance to cover the doctor and hospital bills, he sued the home owner.

The Ins and Outs of a Business Umbrella Insurance Policy

If you are a business owner, you know that there are liability risks to your field. Gaps in standard commercial coverage could mean financial disaster in the event of significant losses and damages. Think about the following examples to realize the extent.

• A employee claimed her boss treated her incorrectly and sued for sexual harassment.

• An African American worker was unhappy because his boss switched him to another department. He sued the business owner for discrimination.

• The boss’s assistant developed a case of carpal tunnel syndrome, resulting in necessary surgery and a few months of occupational therapy.

• A passing pedestrian slipped on the sidewalk in front of a retail store and broke his ankle. He filed a pain and suffering lawsuit as well as for the related medical expenses.

The Ideal Honeymoon

As the big day’s events draw to a close, you and your significant other deserve nothing short of an absolutely cherished honeymoon to enjoy the blissful feeling of being a newly married couple. However, with a well-planned honeymoon comes a list amassed with a lengthy number of to-do checklists; and figuring out what outfits to take and what to leave is a dilemma on its own. Fear not, here are a few reminders to keep you in check while you plan the finest getaway of your life.

Where are you headed off to?

Thoroughly narrow down your options by being conscious of the weather patterns at your destination. Rainy? Take a rain jacket. Sunny? Bring a hat. Just a little chilly? Pack your favorite pashmina. Regardless of where you are going, make sure you pack for possible alternative weather. Constantly be aware of the weather changes so you’re prepared for anything.

Aromas & Candles

If you’re planning on a thoroughly relaxing honeymoon, pack a few scented candles and soap gels to immerse yourself in a luxurious bath and put your mind at ease.

Line it Up with Lingerie

It would be a crime in itself to not mention the honeymoon lingerie and sleep wear. Accentuate your beauty by donning yourself in lace and satin night and day with a selection of bridal lingerie. Here are a few suggestions as you pack for your exquisite adventure.

  • A delicate lace bra and panty set: Push-up or multi-way, choose a set that will provide the support and also show off your post-wedding glow.
  • A soft robe: Who knew bridal night wear could be so sensual? Tease your partner with soft materials adorned with intricate lace designs.
  • A baby doll set: Be a vision in white with soft ivory or a beauty in colour; you can’t go wrong.
  • A chemise: relax in a sea of silken softness whilst still looking your best.

Keep it Comfortable

Travelling long or short distances can be tiresome. Pack comfortable travel clothes so you can leave your worries at home, and enjoy uninterrupted delight with your partner. Pair your favorite outfits with a set of cotton bras and panties to experience the epitome of comfort.

Your honeymoon is the perfect opportunity to bask in the bliss of your post-wedding excitement and to enjoy the company of your partner. Celebrate the wondrous union in the way that will leave memories for years to come. Therefore, regardless of where you go and what you pack, remember to focus on your partner and yourself; what you wear is just an added (but still arguably important) bonus.

Critical Thinking: Why Do Some People Who Always Talk About Tolerance Act Intolerant?

If one uses social media, they may have come across people who talk about how important it is to be tolerant. This could be something that has taken place through reading what people write and through looking at the images they have shared.

And, if one spends a lot of time online, this have may have been something they have comes across on numerous occasions. But even if they don’t use social media, it doesn’t mean that they will have missed out on this.

Another Way

This is something that they may have come across through reading the paper and/or watching the news. This is not to say that this source has told them that they need to be tolerant, as it could be something that typically takes place indirectly.

For example, one may have read an article where someone spoke about how people need to be more tolerant of a certain group of people. If one was to think back to what they have read, they may find that it doesn’t always relate to the same group.

On Campus

In addition to this, this may have been something that one has been exposed to if they go to university/college. This could show that they are studying something that talks about the importance of being tolerant.

If this is not the case, it might be something they have heard about through being part of a society. At the same time, this might not have taken place either, and one may have heard about it from other students.

One Way

One could then come to believe that they need to tolerate everything, and that to go against this would be the wrong thing to do. Through behaving in this way, one will be accepting other people’s views and behaviours.

Now, this doesn’t mean that they have to accept what people come out with or how they behave. As one could find that they don’t always accept what someone says or how they behave; nevertheless, it will be important for them to be tolerant.

The Next Stage

For some people, this could be seen as the best way for human beings to behave. Said another way, if someone is an evolved human being, they will be tolerant towards people who have views and behaviours that are different to their own.

Thus, if someone has tolerance, they can end up being seen as a moral person. And if they don’t, they can be seen as someone who is stuck in the past, and it will be vital for them to get with the times.

An Analogy

If someone was to say that women should stay in the kitchen, this is likely to cause them to receive a negative reaction from a lot of people. In the same way, if one was to be intolerant, it could also cause them to experience a similar reaction.

This shows how being tolerant is not something that a lot of people are willing to overlook. Either someone behaves in this way or they might soon experience the wrath of these people.

One Purpose

When it comes to the people who will criticise them for being intolerant, this could be something they do on a regular basis. In their eyes, they could believe that it is their job to convert people who are not behaving in the right way.

This is something that they can do online through using social media, and they can do it in the real world. It could be said that it will be far easier for them to do this online, and this is because this won’t requite a lot of effort.

If one was to be criticised or even harmed for being intolerant by people like this, it could be hard for them to understand what is going on. After all, these are the people who talk about how important it is to be tolerant.

What this shows is that their behaviour doesn’t match up with what comes out of their mouth. Another way of looking at this would to be to say that they don’t practice what they preach.

The people who talk about the importance of being tolerant are then going to be completely intolerant. If anything, they are trying to hide their intolerance through making out they are tolerant.

As a result of this, the reason people who are intolerant cause them to experience such a strong reaction is because it reminds them of the part of themselves that they are not willing to face. This part of them then ends up being projected onto others, and they end up trying to change their own reflection.

Now, if they were to face themselves, it would cause them to experience pain and this would have a negative effect on them. But through disconnecting from themselves and projecting their issues onto others, it allows them to not only feel good about themselves; they can also delude themselves into believing they are morally superior to these people.

It is then easy to see why someone would end up taking the moral high ground, as opposed to taking responsibility for what is taking place within them. So, instead of making the world a better place, they end up making it even worse.

The Downside

And while it can sound like a good idea to be tolerant, it could be said it is not this black and white. For one thing, if the people who are intolerant are tolerated, it won’t be possible for the people who are tolerant to exist.

Ergo, in order for people to be tolerant, it will be necessary for the people who are intolerant to be dealt with in some way. If they are allowed to do what they want to do, there will be no such thing as tolerance.

This can be seen as one of the many things that can take place when someone doesn’t own what is taking place within them. Trying to control others is what happens when someone is unable to experience self-control

In an ideal world, they would reach out for the right support and deal with their issues. This would stop them from trying to control other people, and it would then be a lot easier for the people around them (and online) to enjoy life.

Homeless at Christmas

Can you think of anything more dreadful than being homeless at Christmas? Walking cold wet streets with no-one to go to, nobody that cares whether you live or die, permanently hungry, wondering if you will find a bed for the night. No wonder many are turning to drugs and alcohol. Maybe a side benefit of ending homelessness and reducing prison intake would be to get these people off the streets, re-house and re-educate them before they turn to a life of crime. It is no wonder we need more police!

Sleeping in cold wet doorways must be unbearable at any time of the year but at Christmas everyone is heading “home” to enjoy the friendship, good food and warmth with their friends and loved ones.

“The Salvation Army” and many other organizations do what they can to help the needy, homeless, and neglected members of society and do a great job, but it is the 21st century and one would expect a solution for homelessness to have been found; but no, the problem is getting worse with a growing number of street dwellers and the hidden number of sofa sleepers that are only a breath away from homelessness. Hundreds of homeless roam the streets of our towns.

The government is failing to provide enough dwellings for people. The housing crisis is growing daily, as is the decline of many of the “private lets”. Spurred on by the crisis of lack of affordable accommodation, rogue landlords are cashing in on the demand for housing for the needy and are taking advantage of them.

What solution is available? Would you believe there are ranges of eco-friendly dwellings in the pipeline, designed with low running costs, by a number of companies, they are affordable and could be used by councils to rent to the needy, they could also be offered to increase the capacity of private dwellings. All we need is cooperation from the government to give the OK and support. What are they waiting for – the crisis to grow to experiential numbers of homeless, creating crimes for survival in their harsh reality. Who can blame them for submitting to the numbing effects of drugs and alcohol to lessen their pain and frustration.

Or consider the aged confined to hospital after illness or falls when their family live too far away to care for them. Eco-friendly extensions to the family home could solve this and give the elderly a certain amount of independence and dignity whilst making it convenient for relatives to help. More strain on the NHS trying to arrange home care.

Just announced, council tax bills are about to rise by 3% to cover the social care costs as an emergency sticking plaster tactic, when with an overhaul system reform, the whole housing crisis could be addressed.

If you would like to add your signature to the petition for more housing, we appreciate your help, and that of your friends and colleagues. Help us to gain one million signatures for the government to see we mean business. The whole country could benefit including the street dwellers. Thank you!
